When i was little i had a dirty blond hair color, i am 17 now and i have a light brown hair. I want to get it some what lighter in color because i liked my hair when it was more blondish. how can i do that besides going to the salon because my parents are totally against dying my hair lol. i just want to make it lighter and i heard lemon juice works but it may make it orange. Any tips or suggestions will be appreciated!!! Thanks!!!

well actually you are in the same position i was in and i just tried it to see if it would work on my hair cause i wanted it lighter and it really did turn it lighter.it was pretty impressive.just go for it.im positive it will turn out great. just make sure you even it out on your whole head dont miss any spots.

if u leave it for a longer time the highlights will b blonde
if u remove it too soon it will b orangish in colour

actually, what you do with lemon juice is streak it into your hair, then sit out in the sun for a while. it naturally lightens your hair somewhat, but it shouldn't make it orange.
