I have never heard of vinegar to bleach hair. I have heard it used as a rinse after bleaching then dying with a temporary punk color like pink, to raise the ph level of the hair and give the color more permanence, but not to bleach hair directly. And I have used apple cider vinegar as a rinse after shampooing to remove buildup. But never to bleach.
I have brown hair; it used to be blond, but is darker now. Can I bleach it with vinegar (acetic acid)?
Next time you get it cut, bring home some samples and try vinegar, bleach, peroxide, and any proprietary products that look interesting.
