You need to pre pigment the blonde first.

Do this by buying a red temporary mousse, Its just like styling mousse but with a red colour in it. [And it should only cost a few pounds/dollars. And should come in the same packaging as normal hair mousse] You put this over the blonde first, just comb it in so all the blonde is covered then this is important DO NOT WASH OUT THE RED. Put the chocolate brown colour you desire straight over the red, it is important you do not wash out the red first. Then just follow the instructions for the brown colour you are applying.

Your hair will turn out just fine [there will not be a red tinge in it or anything dont worry] as long as you put red on it first and leave it on when you add the brown. You can obviously wash your hair when the brown has developed though and get out all of the excess colourant.

Your hair will turn out just fine. If you need any more help just ask :)

Good luck sweetie :)

No, it will go green, seriously!!

You need to make is red first, re-pigment the hair, then put your chosenb colour over the top of the red. It will go the chosen colour, not reddish-brown.

I've done this before. All you have to do is find a dark brown color with the word "ash" in it. Ash colors take out most of the red and orange tones, and give it a more blue look.

I have done this and my hair DID NOT go green. Went the colour it was suppose to. Just choose a dark brown.

Dont let the others scare you

Spend the money and go to a professional.

Go to the store and get an ASH brown color in a temporary shade. Use Natural Instincts. The ash will keep the red down. Or you can get something called Color OOPS. It will take most of the color out of your hair. I really wouldn't use anything harsh right now since the blond probably really fried your hair. Deep condition the daylights out of it during this time. Good luck

IF you dont want to go to a stylist, get temporary (NO AMMONIA) hair color (nat instincts). It may come out with a slightly gray tint. Here is the thing, the blond will probably bleed back through after a few weeks (brown will fade out) but if you slap on permanent color right now, your hair may turn green or fall out. I did this once and it turned out good, but it faded quickly. Best bet, go to a stylist. They can do it in a gradual process and the effects will last longer and not damage your hair nearly as much.

Wow...why do people who have no clue answer these questions...green... falling out...whatever...if chocolate brown is what you seek...it's a very rich colour...as in all rich brown colours there is an underlying red pigment in the colour...don't worry pick a non-permanent dark red-brown ..you won't necessarily see the red it's just in there to give depth and richness...don't try to fill your own hair with red..or red mousse...that will not give you the result you're looking for ...buy 2 boxes of the desired colour (non-permanent) do 1 on that day and when it starts to fade do the other one...that's the best advice if doing you're own colour...but...the best advice would be to see a professional..good luck.
