Bloody matted halloween hair?

Hi there, i am looking for ideas to make bloody matted hair for halloween. first, will gel blood stain blond hair? second, what should i put in the hair to get it flat but matted before i apply the blood. thanks!!!!!!

Bloody matted halloween hair?

It might, but I wouldn't take any chances! You could test a little on your hair before hand and see the results. To get the matted hair, put gel on your brush and brush iyour hair from roots to ends until its as matted as you want it to be =] hope I helped!

Get a wig. Stain that.....

Bloody matted halloween hair?

use colored hairspray

ketchup would be the best.cheapest.and mat it down in one step.

Use Ketchup! That's what Hollywood uses! It'll wash out easily too.

You shouldn't use gel blood because it will not dry plus it will stain s your best bet is to use theater blood

Depends on the blood. Most of them will stain! Look on the back of the tube for a "non-staining formula" or somethingorother. For the matting, use regular old styling gel. Use a ton of it. Flatten it out like you want and let it dry. Then, sprinkle regular old talcum or baby powder on it to take out the shine. Ends up making you hair look dirty and possibly infested with a creature or two!

Ketchup would be the easiest-- but it is NOT what Hollywood uses! Ketchup would end up smelling and getting pretty gross by the end of the night-- and it wouldn't really dry

Dick Smith and Hollywood use Karo (sugary) syrup mixed with red dye and a little bit of liquid laundry detergent (keeps it flowing right instead of coagulating). Without the detergent, it will coagulate (dry) like real blood. Assuming you use the correct ammount of dye, it will look really real. The only problem is that this STAINS horribly-- clothes, skin and hair. So you might want to use a wig that you know for a FACT won't leak the Karo onto your hair unless you want to be a redhead :)

Good luck!

karo syrup and red food coloring is used for fake blood in the movies. it works best and looks great when it sets up. IT WILL STAIN CLOTHING AND POSSIBLY YOUR HAIR. Use fake blood and add it to the karo syrup. make sure its the light corn syrup.

i agree with the others ketchup.

Not sure but I think food coloring will probably dye your hair depending how much you use. Sally's Beauty Supply has a hair highlighting wand(like mascara) that comes in a darker blood looking color that I'm using this year. Only $3.50 and it's suppose to wash out. :)

I would put something like this in your hair and let it dry. Then add regular hair styling product like gel to flatten it and mat it how you like.

Have an awesome Halloween!!!
