but your hair colour has to be stripped out, then a toner applied as to the colour blonde you want as the finished colour, I have seen so very many home disasters coming in to the salon, and there is little you can do, if your hair has been over processed and it feels and looks like cotton wool

one answer- DONT DO IT YOURSELF. i did. it was huuuuuuuge mistake. It went yellow. If your brunette definately don't do it yourself, it'll go ginger. GET IT DONE PROFESSIONALLY. if you do end up doing it yourself, be sure to use a strong peroxide bleach and follow up with some TONER. it is important to use toner to make sure your hair is blonde not yellow/ginger. You can buy that stuff in boots/superdrug etc.
