ahh i had to do the same thing, my mom was like NOWAY are you dying it blonde, so then i said im just going to get "suttle" highlights instead and that one of my friends had just got it done and you can hardly see them, and that it just makes it a bit lighter. but then i got a full head of highlights and just acted as if i didnt know it would go that blonde. then just kept going back for a full head of highlights!! and now its completely blonde! its like easing your mom into the idea and trust me if it worked with MY mom itll work with yours!! hope this helped!!!
